What should I bring? Let's see...well it's not like I have much anyway. I definitely must bring my journal. A gift for them? That would be nice...What do I have to give to them? Ooh, I have another idea!

     Taking off her warm jacket and boots, Lovely let her toes feel the deep green grass of Suul Durn and sat down to think about the people she would soon accompanying. She closed her eyes and and exhaled. When she opened her eyes, she was still in the same place, except different sorts of items were laid out in front of her. There was a huge, strange hat with a big fluffy feather that was a little big for her head. There was also a beautifully engraved gold case, saying 'Be Mine', with a simple but stunning gold necklace inside. Then there was a huge chest. Iirma looked inside and saw that there were some gold pieces and jewelry scattering the bottom, and on top of them were bottles and bottles of different color liquids. There was also a small purse, and inside there were miniature bottles of the same strange liquids. Iirma wanted to see what it was, so she took a tiny bottle and took a sip. She gagged at first, but drinking the rest of the thing made her feel happy and giddy. I better save the rest for the others. I wonder what these beverages are anyway?

     It was time to go. Iirmawen gathered her belongings, holding onto the heavy chest. She closed her eyes, imagined a warm, sunny place, with different shades of blue and green surrounding her on all sides, and let her breath go. Suddenly the earth beaneath her wasn't cold and scratchy, but warm, soft, movable. Everything became warm and bright; she was afraid to open her eyes. Slowly, the new enviroment became too much for all her senses to bear. Even the smell was different from the woods. Iirma saw strange trees such an ocean she was ready to tear up. She could taste the salty sea air around her as it stung her lips. There was no escape to the sound of waves washing onto the shore, and the birds sang differently, and...there were voices. Turning around, she saw a vast ship, waiting to set sail, and a set of people, all good looking, but very different than what she was used to, even though she didn't know exactly what she was used to. This must be it! I wonder how far I've traveled? How exciting!

Wednesday, February 18, 2004

  "Goodness gracious, child, is that you again? I swear I thought I just saw you over there. How'd you get up in my branches again without me knowing?"

     Iirmawen climbed down the tree. "So...you saw me? You still remember?"

     "Of course, it only happend two minutes ago. My memory isn't that bad."

     "Eltreelia, what does 'Suul Durn' mean?"

     "Hmm...strange question. Why do you ask?"

     "Well...I saw a wooden sign with that painted on it behind you, leading into the imagination area."

     "Oh! So THAT's what they called it. The children I told you about earlier called the magic room Suul Durn. I feel so foolish calling such a wonderful place the 'magic area'. It means Breathe Belief. Isn't that wonderful? Their elvish wasn't so bad. I watched them paint the sign with the juice of my berries. Such beautiful handwriting the boy had. So have you learned how to make it work?"

     Iirma struggled on how to describe what dimensions she just went through. It was beyond anything she could imagine, or understand for that matter. Still, she tried. "I did what you told me to do. I imagined whatever place I wanted to be in...but...I was trying to imagine this little area right here, with you there and the waterfall and snow and everything. When I opened my eyes I really was in there-here."

     "Oh, that's right. You can bring anywhere here, or you can bring yourself to anywhere! Now go along honey, I'm going to take a nap."

     "Eltreelia, I'm going to go on a trip and I won't be back for awhile. Alright?" But the tree was already sleeping. William Turner and friends, here I come! And she climbed up to Suul Durn.

Friday, February 13, 2004

     Images went through Wen's head, pictures of the landmarks such as the frozen waterfall, Eltreelia, the strange tree, the designs and feel of the bench, and then she let go of her breath. When she opened her eyes, she felt a mix of emotions; shock, fear, wonder, expectance, happy that her idea worked. She was back standing by the bench. Iirmawen looked around her: there was Eltreelia, the waterfall, the iced river, the tree. It must be magic! she thought. I wonder... Iirmawen climbed up Eltreelia, swung onto the edge, and peeked inside. Expecting the same green hills she always saw when going there, she saw the exact same scenery in which she was just in...only the view was from near Eltreelia's branches. Confused, she leaned in to look closer to see if anything was diferent, sticking her leg out for balance. Suddenly, she saw something move in the Eltreelia she wasn't in. Iirmawen gasped. Someone's there! She slowly moved her leg down, and saw that the something in Eltreelia moved at the same pace she did. A thought came to her head, and she moved her leg back up. The thing did the same. Up, down, side to side, whatever Wen did, the thing did the same. Cautiously, she stuck her hand out of Eltreelia's branches and waved. At the same time a hand stuck out of that Eltreelia and waved too!

     "That's me!" and she heard the other her. I'm looking at me in this place when it's that place too! She had the impulse to look up and saw a wooden sign painted with what might have looked like dry blood, but she realized was the juice of berries. The hand writing looked pretty, even though it looked like a child might have wrote it. It said, '~Suul Durn~' Suul Durn? I wonder what that means... Iirmawen looked around into the world that her other self was in. She saw that in the spot next to the bench where she opened her eyes, it was normal, except that there was faint blue glow. Wen quickly jumped off Eltreelia, and saw that near the bench there was an archway, an opening, surrounded by the same faint blue glow. She went up to it, touching the blue stuff. It felt...well it didn't feel like anything...physically. It was more like an internal feeling, almost eternal, some happy exciting feeling. It feels magical...Maybe this is how I get back... Wen closed her eyes, went through the door, and exhaled. When she opened her eyes, she was back in the familiar warm green place. She turned around and swung back on the vine to Eltreelia

Wednesday, February 11, 2004

     ...I have an idea...

Iirmawen took in her surroundings as she sat on the bench near Eltreelia. She saw the waterfall. It had frozen over the night again. She smiled at one of her few memories, where she had the urge to just slide down on it. Across the river was that tree again, the one with the big bulge in the middle of it. She kept in mind to check it out one day, after she became familiar with this place. On the side of the river she was on, there was Eltreelia, sleeping soundly. There were more trees, and of course, everything was covered in snow. The bench she sat on was cold and hard, and underneath her finger tips she felt the texture of the stone that it was made of. Alright, time to give it a go.
     Iirmawen had found out that she was particulary good at climbing trees, a skill she didn't know she had acquired, and she climbed Eltreelia without waking her up. She swung onto off her and went into the green wonderland. Maybe I was thinking it would be green when I first came here, even though it's freezing cold. Well, here I go......

Tuesday, February 10, 2004

     --This is terrible! Elizabeth, dear William's lady, has been kidnapped by pirates! Ol' Treebeard came by to visit yesterday. Brought along some nice tasty food for ya. 'Course I can't have none of it, being a tree 'n all. In you go, dear, it's cold." Iirmawen went climbed inside Eltreelia again. At the flat empty spot where she slept the first time she slept there, there was a plate of steaming vegetables and tasty smelling meat. "Mmm....this is soo delicious! This whole 2 weeks all I've been eating were frozen leaves and berries and icicles." "Is that so? Didn't you find out how to work that magic area already?" Iirmawen looked confused. "What magic area?" "Well...remember when I first told you how to get across my branches into the...other side of this place? Right before you left, I was beginnin' to tell you 'bout these two children who discovered it first. But you were in such a rush I never told how about them. Oh, it was such a nice surprise. They just fell out of the sky-really, they landed in my branches. Such polite lil sweethearts.
Anyway, they stayed here for quite awhile, always playing in my branches and runnin' 'round the area. Well, that magic place...let's see...oh yes, you just close your eyes 'n imagine whatever place you want to be in, and blow outta your mouth. Then you can either eat whatever you want, go horseback ridin', crystal collectin', whatever your heart desires.'

      Iirmawen listened, stunned at the new information. She was interested in hearing about the two children, but became enchanted at the thought of making your own fantasy place. Place.... "Eltreelia, where are we?"

     "Where are we? Well...we're in a forest. Haha, just kidding dear. I really don't have a clue. I'll ask Treebeard if he comes by around."

     "Eltreelia, who is Treebeard? Howcome he can move around?"

     "Why, he's an Ent of course! One of the finest tree herders 'round, cept I really hate that term, tree herder. He can walk 'n talk 'n move his branches around, but he can also be still and you'd think he was a regular ol' tree. Now why don't you and go and try out your imagination, eh?"

     "Thanks, but not now. I'll talk to you later, Eltreelia."

     "Ok, dear. Buh-bye now."

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
   --writes down conversation-- Isn't that interesting? What's even more interesting, is that if I find the location of where we are, a gentleman named of William Turner and maybe some of his friends might come and visit me! I've been so lonely these past weeks. Eltreelia is a great friend but there's only so much she can do. Well, I must leave now. Time to try out that interesting room.--
Friday, January 30, 2004
The surface in which a maiden slept upon was cold and hard as she struggled to open her eyes. Suddenly, a deep voice was speaking in a not far off room. "The girl is worth nothing to us. Let the orcs do what they will with her, then just let her die or suffer in the torture chambers." She could hear a few sniggers. "There are no need for lady orcs in my...our...army...What, my Lord? Have her freeze immortally? But it cannot forever snow and we have no use for her...Very well, my Lord, your commands will be carried out."
     Iirmawen awoke shivering, not from what might have been a clue to her mysterious past, but because somehow it became more chilly the the frozen solitude where she was.
    -Oh, poor Eltreelia. She is literally frozen to the limbs. Just look at this!
Seems I have a talent for illustrating, do I not? Eltreelia has told me this winter has been a strange one. It had started snowing heavily a week before the black riders came and left me here. Well, even though last night I slept on the comfy bed in the cave, I do not think that I slept well. I might have had another strange dream that seems so realistic. My thoughts still wander to that one dream...It could have just been my brain conjured up...but...I don't remember a fair hair and skin person in my life...Then again I don't remember my life at all. Well, I mustn't ponder these thoughts at this moment. I am off to explore again.
Friday, January 16, 2004
            -Hello. I'm taking quite awhile to write out what beautiful scenery I have seen today. The kind tree Eltreelia has let me use her passage way into this wonderful and mysterious world. After I jumped from her branch, I landed into a whole new demension. Apparently I was on a really tall hill and everything was green. There were trees everywhere with long vines, and I gave it a go. I took one and I was swinging like a monkey! It was such fun. I fell and landed on the softest sweet smelling moss. And then I met him. The most beautiful white horse, with a shining mane and long white tail. He has these kind grey eyes. I called him Varyar because it came to mind, and he seemed to respond to it as if it really was his name. He's led me to this cave, which I see is underneath the waterfall. It's such a beautiful thing, really, the sound of running water is like music. It fills the cave and the trees and the forests, even in the brisk of winter. It fills the night with such sweet sound that it fills my ears with peace and happiness. As I was leaning on the walls of the cave, admiring the music of water splashing water, I whispered 'Sére.' I have no idea what it means, but as soon as the word left my mouth I fell through the wall. Imagine that. It seems this cave has been occupied before. There is a bed with such lovely carvings on the bed posts. The designs seem to match the ones on the bench I woke up next to. And it is so soft and comfortable that I think I might have dozed off for a minute or two. I awoke and my eyes drifted towards a desk with the same intricate carvings on it. Now I shall write down what foreign words I've used and heard.
       1. Eltreelia-The ever so kind tree.
       2. Irimawen-This is what Eltreelia calls me. She told me it meant 'lovely maiden'
       3. Varyar-This is what I call the white horse, and he responds to it as if it were his own name. It might be? But that's impossible. I've never been to a place like this, nor seen such a beautiful horse.
       4. sére-It must be some sort of password to get into the cave. Also just came to mind.
       5.Serenity......
Tuesday, December 23, 2003
         ......Iirmawen found herself floating across the sky with a grown boy right next to her. 'Look over there!' he shouted, pointing to a sparkling lake. 'Wow...it's beautiful...' she responded. 'There must be diamonds in there! Let us look? Pleeease?' 'Alright, Serenity, alright. I'm telling you though, do not be disappointed if you do not find any.'
         Down they flew, lightly landing upon the lake shore. Excitedly, she ran into the water, her dark hair flying behind her, wetting her flowing dress. She went underwater, searching, coming up for air a few minutes later confused. Then down she went again, and came back up sad. 'Where have all the diamonds gone? I swear I saw them from above.' She kneeled in the water, a tear running down her cheek. The blonde boy went into the water and carried her to shore. 'Serenity, darling, I warned you before. Don't be sad.' 'But I wanted to find a special one to give to you.' He smiled. 'It's alright, I don't want diamonds. I already have emeralds in your eyes.' At this the girl stopped sniffing and looked up. '....you always make me feel better. I love you so much.' And she gave him a tight hug and a kiss on the lips.....
         Iirmawen woke up. For a moment she forgot where she was and wondered if her fire had gone out. Then she realized the dark shadows were just the branches of the tree Eltreelia who let her sleep inside of her. Suddenly she remembered her dream. .::Who was that boy? He called me Serenity! That must be my name! The dream must have been a memory from when I was a growing girl. I must have been attracted to him...I felt myself glowing when he said my name. And when I kissed him...It was only a little kiss...But he was quite handsome...Maybe it was just a dream...and maybe not...::.
          Iirmawen climbed out of the tree. It was a sunny day, the snow sparkling. She walked over to the white bench she saw yesterday and wiped off the snow with her already ice cold hands. Taking in the scenery around her, she found a familiar tree across the river. It seemed a bit rounder than the other trees, as if there was a big fat something in the middle. A voice broke her thoughts. 'Hullo Iirmawen!' It was Eltreelia. She decided not to reveal the dream to her just yet. 'Feeling a bit cold, eh? Ol' Treebeard came 'round while you were sleeping. Told him you din't know who you were 'n what happened to ya. Went off somewhere 'n came back with some clothes for you, 'n somethin' for you to write with. Here, take these.' And with that Eltreelia moved her long branch toward her. On it was a thick woolen blanket, a simple white, longsleeved dress, a cloak, a pair of boots, a pen, and some papers. She gratefully put on the cloak and the boots, then put the other things in Eltreelia. Then Eltreelia whispered to her, 'I have a secret to show you. Come,Iirmawen, climb inside me again.' She did as she was told. Then Eltreelia's branches opened from the top. 'Climb up, lovely.' She climbed all the way to the top. She looked around at the stunning sight. All the way down the river was ice, and all the trees and ground were covered in snow. She had the sudden urge to slide down the icey waterfall. 'Iirmawen look towards the top o' the waterfall. See that? It's more land. But come back down for a minute.' She came back down.
